A Posh Production helps the community

At A Posh Production, we love helping people! That’s our job here…we are a service company. Every year, we donate our services and time to at least two charity events. A Posh Production knows how important it is to support causes, the community, and people in need.

Each year the city of Elmhurst asks A Posh Production to provide sound equipment and DJs for the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot. The Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot was founded in 1984 and is always held on the morning of Thanksgiving Day. The 5K Trot has raised over 2 million dollars to date. The benefactos of the race are the United Community Concerns Associations, DuPage PADS, People’s Resource Center, West Suburbian Community Pantry, Loaves and Fishes Community Pantry, and the Catholic Charities-Emergency Services. In 2012, there were 8,250 participants and over 200 volunteers….it isn’t a small fundraiser by any means!

A Posh Production always sets up the equipment the day before the race. It is a full days work, but Posh employees love doing it! Last Novemeber, our employees were lucky enough to set up in beautiful sixty degree weather instead of snow  which made the proccess even more enjoyable….what a nice surprise for the midwest!

At last years Turkey Trot, A Posh Production se up sound all way down York Road for a quarter of mile. This consits of placing speakers on top of poles and in various tents along York Road. A Posh Production provided sound for the National Anthem which was song by Ken Overbey and when the LIMA LIMA Figher Pilots flew over the race. We had two of our DJs working at the event. Our DJ Oliver Vasilopoulos was in a tent and DJ Matt Windsor (the founder of A Posh Production) was at the start line.  A Posh Production always looks forward to this event because we love helping and working with the city of Elmhurst and other small businesses in the area.

Another yearly fundraiser A Posh Production donates to is the MacArthur Basketball Fundraiser. This fundraiser raises money for the Anne and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. This was such a lively event and for a great cause! At the event, teachers from the MacArthur Middle school play a friendly game of basketball against teachers from the Anne Sullivan Elementary School in Prospect Heights. At this fundraiser, A Posh Production set up one of our fun photobooths and Matt Windor was the DJ for the game.

At A Posh Production, we realize the importance of helping to better lives in the community. Donating our time and services to these two wonderful fundraisers is never a question. Not only do we enjoy working at these events but we also hope to set an example for other local businesses to follow.
